Parcel Delight

March 1, 2006

Well, it was a day of deliveries for me.

First of all the material for the quilty thing I am contemplating arrived. Pretty purples and lilac flowers with some blue thrown in and a bit of pinky/purple for contrast. I need to buy a plain block colour too. Not sure what to pick though, thinking about a neutral that picks up the creams in all of them. But we shall see. I shall probably start this when I finished Odessa!

(I wish I was at home during day light as trying to take pictures that actually come close to the colours is nigh on impossible in the gloaming.)

Then when I got home, my beads had finally appeared. So I cast on for Odessa the second that I got home! I wasn’t too sure how I was going to cope with these circle needles but so far I am feeling quite positive, mind you it is only the rib stage so far!

Also, today is St David’s Day, the Welsh Patron Saint. I really feel as though G and I should be doing something, seeing as he is Welsh and all. Not sure what though. I shall have to have a think about it in time for next year so that we can try and start some sort of a family tradition!

And just because I am English I have to mention the weather. Snow and brilliant sun at the same time. Strange combination. A little snow cloud seemed to follow me home on the train this evening too. I’m just a little grey snow cloud, hovering over Gemma P!
