He’s Back!

April 2, 2007

Tennant

My long wait is finally over and the scrumptious David Tennant is back on our screens as Dr Who! G was off at football on Saturday so I sat in perfect splendour with my pot of tea and my crochet to welcome him back to the world. (I managed not to drool all over my blanket!)

Not too sure about the new girl yet, but then I was a huge Rose/Billie Piper fan. I’m, sure she will be fine but it is taking some getting used to seeing someone else as the companion, more so than it did getting used to Tennant as The Doctor instead of Eccleston. But, then Tennant is easier on the eye.

I have pics a plenty of the new blanket and some more of the garden but I did feel that a small nod was needed to show my appreciation at having this fine example of manhood back on our screens! The programmes pretty good too!

PS: Does anyone have a good hot cross bun recipe? And where does one get fresh yeast from?

Yes, I sat a-lusting on Saturday…. but I envy you your solitude. I sat in a room with 3 brothers, 2 nephews, 5 nieces, 1 sister-in-law & 3 assorted children of my own creation. And one of the brats (not one of mine!) was a talker!!!
Luckily, we have TVdrive, so I’ve watched it twice since with a silently appreciative audience. Can’t wait for more!

oh don’t give too many spoilers Gemma or I’ll have to stop reading your blog (and that would be sad). I can’t wait for it come here but I suspect we’ll have to wait, as we always do.
I’m anxious about a new girl after loving Rose/Billie so much.
However, I am in essence more of a Christopher fan. It doesn’t stop me loving David though.

So glad I’m not the only one!!! I thought Martha was great, very different to Rose, so fine by me :)

Bless David, he brings out my mothering instinct I’m afraid. I want to take him home and feed him up a bit – he’s far too thin! (still it was fab wasn’t it!)

Oh Dr Who love him to bits! Never bothered to make my own hot cross buns, terrible confession, just too lazy. But you get fresh yeast from the bakers, you could even ask at your local supermarket, our Tesco is always happy to sell some fresh yeast provided they have enough for themselves.

I wish I could watch some English shows with you. I love British tv (Ab Fab LMAO and this cute series called Berkley Square).
Oh, and there’s a great recipe in the Joy of Cooking cook book.
    Happy baking, happy watching!
    xoxo
