Baking Days

Hotcrossbun

Hot Cross Buns! My first home made batch ever made with actual crosses! This was the most normal looking of the batch. Some looked a little, well un-bun like shall we say.

Occasions for my family always see, to revolve around food preparation and Easter is no exception. Hot Cross Buns for Good Friday, lamb on Easter Sunday. I am managing both for the first time. I’ve also got a citrus/poppy/marscapone cake in the works for tomorrow as well.

G started to feel a bit left out so he made pizza bases from scratch. (This is the pre-cooked version) Rather lovely they were too! We will be doing that again! This is a corner of my one.

We sat and munched these down in front of the second episode of Dr Who with my lovely David in it. The new girl is beginning to grow on me. (Don’t worry non-UK readers, I shall say no more.)

Outdoor_tea

Happy Easter folks. May your long weekend be as sunny as mine has been and is being. Warm enough to get the garden blanket out and lay on the lawn drinking tea and eating home baked scrummyness.

    Nice buns.
But I think you’ll find that he’s *my* lovely David. Not *your* lovely David.
