Wow! Who knew that the little rant I wrote on the back of old receipts on my way home on the train would prove to create such a magnificent reaction!! By far the most amounts of comments I have ever had on a post and the most emails from people too! Thank-you so much to all of you that took the time to come over here and read and leave your thoughts. It’s moments like that that I love about blogging. When such a varied group of women from different countries and different backgrounds can so completely get it! It gives me faith that the world is actually a decent place at times.

Jelly beans and party rings all round I think!! I would have baked and that would have been far more appropriate but you know what folks I have something else to do today!

Love

After a quick run into Wimbledon this morning, thank-you Royal Mail for striking on such an important week and ensuring my amazon order didn’t make it! I am now going to curl up on the sofa with my pint mug of tea and read and read and read. Because after all when can’t talk about it if one hasn’t read it!

Main

Yes the cause of the outpouring of scorn over at The Telegraph is now in my grubby little paws. I’ve had a brief peak on the train on the way home and it is indeed a feast for eyes. A little piece of Yarnstorm all of my own. It’s beautiful.

Close_book

So yes, reading, drinking, eating and then more knitting all in an ode to you Jane. Thank-you.

Oh, that looks like the perfect afternoon. I have held off ordering Jane’s book till the strike is over so I am very envious!
But I trust those are home baked, hand iced party rings? (Just kidding!)

I can’t wait to get my hands on that book, going to ask for it in my library on Tuesday, when taking the girls to baby bounce. Think I’ll wiat till the flaming post strikes stopuntil I buy it from Amazon.
Glad I found you blog, you rant was just the best.

I had a quick peek at it in Waterstones yesterday. It looks lovely, plenty of text to read, and lots of lovely pictures. Can’t wait to get my copy.
Didn’t know you were near Wimbledon. I used to live just down the road from there, in Earlsfield. I used to love going to Wimbledon to browse the shops, especially when they opened the Centre Court shopping centre. :)

I’ve got the book, lost somewhere in post office strike land unfortunately. Postman pat is probably sitting reading as we speak.
As a sometime blog lurker, I want to say thanks for standing up for a fellow crafter. Well done you.

I agree with you on Jane! I wasn’t going to buy the book, but after The Telegraph, I will, just to show support. And to get a pretty book. I suppose in today’s society women have the liberty to choose, as long as they choose manly things like a high-flying career in law or politics. Ha.
