O

“Our stories are singular but our destiny is shared.”

And that is the reason why I am so grateful that America has voted the right guy in. Because whether we like it or not, the choice Americans made will effect our destiny, our lives and now because of them I have hope. Hope that things can and will change.

So agree with you! We stayed up until 5 this morning watching the results. Such an incredible night. Slightly suffering this morning though and feeling very grateful I don’t have to go out to an office. My sewing is going to be slow today.

So, so, so, so happy over here! I have to say, it’s really been a long while since I’ve felt a sense of pride in my country. Today I feel proud. Really proud.

Believe me – the sigh of relief the world (not just Americans) has released echoes in our ears and in our hearts. I am so grateful that we rallied this time, getting more first time voters out than ever before, and more young voters out to share their hope for a different future. He said “Yes, we can” and WE DID!!!!
    Thanks for your patience, world.

This is the first time, for a long time, that as a Brit I am proud that my country is an ally of your country. It’s a great moment.

Yes! One of the things I just love about BO is that by electing him, we’re getting some more WORLD CRED. I feel like in a matter of just a few days the rest of the world views the US in a more positive light. This was a great move. I am super proud to be American!

I hope he can achieve the change… but he really is up against it, with the economy, two wars that (clears throat) are dragging on a bit, and a reputation (that of the country, not him) that is not exactly…. global. I’d love him to succeed where others have never even tried, and to have America as a true Friend, not a five-planet nation any more.

That’s a great photo of Barack Obama. (My daughter calls him “The Rock” – now we all do!)
I continue to be awed and amazed at how pleased the world is with his election. What a thrill it will be to see him with his sweet family living at the White House!
