gazebo
June 13, 2009
I have wanted one of these for years! And now one of the trees in our garden has gone and we have practically no shade it seemed to make sense to buy one now. Now that there was a purpose rather than a yearning for something that was completely impractical!
We bought it a few weeks ago, had it up for the weekend and it hasn't been up again since due to the repulsive weather that we have been having in the UK the past couple of weekends! But for the one weekend it was up it was blissful. G sat out there at the table marking school books, I drifted in and out of it as and when I started to think I was starting to tingle too much from laying out in the sunshine.
But of course me being me I couldn't be content with just the gazebo. I had to go and buy a selection of fairy lights to go on the edge and inside. Although I don't think I have enough personally! G maintains that it is more than I need! They aren't bright but they are enough to just see by when you are sitting out there in the dark. Peaceful and twinkly which is just the way that I like things!
I can see us spending many happy evenings out here this year if only the weather co-operates! I want our promised so called bbq Summer!

I think those fairy lights are fabulous.
Mee too. With fairylights if at all possible.
The last screenhouse we had in our yard had lights on it (and in the trees above it). I loved it but my daughter got it caught in the lawnmower and it died. I’ve been waiting to find one I like to replace it.
I love the fairy light, just perfect!
How nice to have a shady spot to relax in the garden. And your addition of the twinkly lights makes it absolutely magical!
Love the gazebo set up – lights and everything! Just beautiful! I feel you on the weather though – it poured buckets in New Hampshire today!
Love the gazebo and the lights make it extra special. Where is this bbq summer? We did have a very sunny weekend just now so hope you did too.
Were we promised a bbq summer? I sat in the car last night as sheets of rain and hail bounced off the windscreen and thought about how nice a bit of sunshine would be… Your gazebo will be perfect if we ever get any!
