Bear Work
I don't know if you've been able to tell from her last couple of posts but Gemma hasn't really been feeling herself the last couple of days. Laying on the sofa under a quilt and watching endless Sex and the City isn't really a terribly sensible way to spend her days. So today to try and shame her out of her comatose state I thought that I would try and do some housework.
So I got out the big feather duster! It's bigger than me you know! So I just sort of pushed it along the floor and dusted the skirting boards and the bottoms of the radiators. I can't really reach much higher than that you know, but Gemma said that I was a great help! Although it did seem to take her longer to do the rest then it took me to my bit!
Then I thought that I would try and help with the washing up. But Gemma was terribly cross when she came and found me trying to wield the washing up brush. Apparently I'm not supposed to go near water! So I gave that up and let Gemma get on with it. Instead I got on with far more important work!
The boiling of the kettle and the choosing of the tunes! I do make a lovely cup of tea if I do say so myself. Of course, I only really tell Gemma how to do it properly. As I'm not allowed near water! Especially not boiling water, that is very dangerous. Instead I shout at her when it is boiled, shout again when the tea bag has to come out and tell her when she has put enough milk in. I also have the very important job of counting the number of stirs. Gemma says that that is the most important job of all!
Then once we had the important business of tea out of the way we sat down to do some crafting. I'm the best at crafting! Far better than Gemma! Really everything that she shows you I have done during the day while she is out! I was supposed to keep that a secret but I think that it is best that you know the truth!
This is what I've done so far. It is isn't finished, I think it needs something else. Or actually Gemma thinks it needs something else! She can be an ungrateful young lady at times I can tell you. Holding a needle in my paws isn't easy and then she has the nerve to criticise!
Anyway it has been lovely talking to you again. Hopefully Gemma might let me have another go again soon. She says she is having lots of trouble thinking of things to write for this blobtogber party thing she is doing so if I come up with anything else to tell you I am sure she will let me! She needs a break sometimes. Even if she doesn't really do any housework and leaves it all to me to do!
great picure! I do also have a question, where do you get your felt?
Oh, it’s such a pretty picture! I am loving felt applique at the moment. It must be the autumnal weather …
Hope you’re feeling perkier very soon.
You are a very helpful bear!
yay a guest post~ Yes! Come back on the days when Gemma can’t be arsed, Bear. You’d be most welcome.
I think the picture needs a little something else too….
I can see that you are A Very Good Bear Indeed! And I’m sure Gemma really appreciates all your help. The felt picture looks lovely!
Hello Bear! Nice to hear from you again! I especially enjoy your appliqued tree – quite adorable!
